Introducing the Halo IR!

Introducing the Halo IR!

Introducing the Halo IR! You can book single sessions, packages or purchase a monthly membership to start enjoying the benefits of the innovative treatment!!

What is the HaloIR?

The HaloIR is the first sauna to combine halotherapy and innovative far infrared therapy to strengthen respiratory health and encourage detoxification.

Halotherapy is an exposure to kinetically activated dry salt where the micro sized particles are being inhaled while the large salt particles are spread on the top of the skin. Dry pure grade sodium chloride is ground into very tiny micro-particles in a special machine called a Halogenerator. These dry salt micro-particles are then dispersed into the salt booth. As you relax, particles are inhaled while also landing on the skin. The particles penetrate deep into the lungs, bronchi, bronchioles, and alveoli, as well as into the deeper layers of the skin.

Salt therapy benefits both adults and children, as it is a very safe form of treatment for those with respiratory or skin conditions. Since dry salt is antibacterial and super absorbent it actively kills bacteria and reduces the inflammation in the respiratory system and improves skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and itching. Those that have restricted mobility can benefit from salt therapy, as mucus tends to build up quicker in their lungs. Treatment does not include movement, and will help to clear their airways and improve their quality of life. Even those that don’t have a specific ailment to treat can benefit from the calming effects of salt therapy.

Infrared saunas use infrared lamps to warm your body directly, rather than warming the room. Infrared ray heat causes the release of gaseous nitric oxide that improves the natural flow of blood into the area, causing nutrients and oxygen to flood the area, relieving pain and heeling injured soft tissues. This type of infrared ray light can go deep to the tissues to a depth of about two inches, raising the core temperature of the body and promoting healing.

The HALO IR is the ultimate wellness experience. It was created to engage all 5 senses for a truly transformative experience. TASTE the salty air, SMELL the essential oil, FEEL the warmth of the infrared heat as it envelops your body, HEAR the soothing voice of professional guided meditation, and SEE the changing lights of the medical grade chromatherapy light waves.  With thoughtful design, driven to support an elevated wellness experience, the HaloIR, is a custom-built sauna integrated with the HaloGX halogenerator to maximize the efficacy of both modalities.

Halotherapy and Infrared treatment are independently known to decrease unwanted symptoms from a variety of medical conditions. When combined you are getting double the benefit in half the time…and half the price!

Michael Leatherwood

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW

The primary guiding principle in my approach to therapy is empathy. I am convinced that “feeling with” people is a key to healing. When people feel listened to and truly understood, an atmosphere of mutual respect is created. It has been my experience that people do not feel valued unless they know that someone is genuinely interested in understanding their pain.

I specialize in working with adults, adolescents and children who suffer from trauma, depression and anxiety as well as bipolar and obsessive compulsive disorders. I have over 30 years of experience treating various types of addiction and dual diagnosis.

I believe in a strength-based approach to therapy. Assessing and utilizing a person’s strengths is essential to building hope. Unfortunately, a problem centered model has resulted in people being defined by their problem or diagnosis. A strength-based approach protects and enhances the dignity of my clients.
